Description:
Join Synergistics as it examines the lessons learned for competing
in today's Small Business Market. Since 1981, Synergistics has conducted
more than 25 comprehensive research studies on key issues including
marketing strategies, product design and delivery systems
for small businesses. These projects are based on in-depth
telephone interviews with small business owners across the country.
Presentation topics include the definition of the market, strategic
objectives and tactical approaches.
The role of the relationship manager, integrating personal
and business financial needs, cross selling and packaging opportunities,
the dominance of the branch, the appeal of remote banking, the importance
of deposits as well as the role of credit services and key target
markets will be discussed.

About Bill
Adcock
Cofounder of SYNERGISTICS, Mr. Adcock brings years of practical
banking, research, and consulting experience to the firm. In addition,
he is a frequent speaker at financial conferences and seminars and
the author of numerous articles for industry and academic publications.
Mr. Adcock was with Payment Systems Inc. (PSI) from 1977 to 1981,
where he became senior vice president in charge of the Research
Services Division. He initiated and was responsible for the direction
of multisponsor and custom research projects for PSI clients and
for research support to the Payment Systems Research Program and
PSI's Consulting Division. From 1961 to 1975, Mr. Adcock was a commercial
banker with Bank South. There he served as vice president in charge
of the Research and Planning Department, senior credit and financial
analyst, commercial loan officer, and corporate operations officer.
In 1971, Mr. Adcock participated in the Federal Reserve Bank of
Atlanta Payments Project's pioneer research study of changing payment
systems. Mr. Adcock holds a B.S. in Finance from the University
of North Carolina and an M.B.A. in Finance and an M.D.S. in Decision
Sciences from Georgia State University.
About Genie
Driskill
Ms. Driskill has directed studies at SYNERGISTICS since 1981 on
numerous topics in the small business and consumer financial services
industry. She is responsible for all stages of a project including
topic selection and definition, development of proposal and marketing
materials, questionnaire development, survey analysis, industry
executive interviews, and strategic assessment. Prior to joining
SYNERGISTICS, Ms. Driskill was senior research associate at Payment
Systems Inc. ( PSI). A graduate of Memphis State University, she
holds an M.L.S. from Vanderbilt University.
About
Andy Brown
Mr. Brown recently joined Synergistics Research to head up the new
custom research business.
He has over 10 years of experience in financial services
market research including project design and collection of information
through all methods of market research as well as data analysis
and reporting. He is
also experienced in strategic and tactical business planning for
financial services providers.
Prior
to joining Synergistics Research, Mr. Brown served as the Program
Leader for Primary Market Research at TowerGroup and Research Director
of Business Information Services at PSI Global.
He also served as Commercial Research Manager at Bank of
America. He received
his BA degree from Belmont Abbey College and his M.B.A. from Winthrop
