Quris
Managing Director Michael Sippey and Account Director Judith Zissman
will present detailed findings from their 2003 View from the Inbox(tm)
consumer research, highlighting best practices and trendlines across
multiple industries with an emphasis on how creating customer-centric
email can help drive customer engagement and profitability. Quris
will examine the impact of email on consumer brand perception, review
findings on how people use email in work and personal interaction,
and present a brief overview of the changing landscape of deliverability,
spam technology and legislative issues.
Methodology
for the survey: The survey was fielded in August 2003 using
Equation Research in collaboration with Up2Speed Consulting. The
respondents to this study were drawn from Equation Research's access
to a panel of 2.4 million consumers. In all, Equation Research reported
on 1,691 completed responses to the survey. The sample was
screened for a minimum age of 18, residents of the United States,
representative of the larger population based on 2000 Census data,
and those who use email at least once per week. The margin
of error for questions reported for the entire sample size is +/-
3% and, the confidence level used to report comparisons between
sub-segments of respondents reported in this summary is 95%.
This

Banking, Product Development and Strategy Teams.

About Michael
Sippey
With
more than twelve years of product marketing and consulting skills,
Sippey is a Managing Director in our San Francisco office. He is
responsible for ensuring our clients' success in the email channel
and managing client relationships.
Before joining Quris, Sippey worked as a strategy consultant and
client partner with Viant Corporation, where he designed, planned,
and built online businesses and Web systems for Fortune 500 firms
and startups. Sippey was also part of the startup team at Global
English, and built and managed data integration tools for investment
management firms at Advent Software. Michael has an MBA from University
of California's Haas School of Business and a BA in English Literature
from Colgate University.
About
Judith Zissman
Judith Zissman has been with Quris since 2000, leading key projects
for major clients in financial services and technology areas. Prior
to moving to San Francisco, Judith worked as a strategy consultant
in New York City, managing online initiatives for Hewlett-Packard,
Sony, First Energy, and several startup ventures. Judith's
production and project strategy experience has roots in her extensive
work in film production and distribution. She has produced interactive
kiosks for national museum and retail experiences, a feature and
several short films, and ongoing interactive art initiatives.
Judith graduated with honors from Brown University.
