Session Description:
This
presentation will provide analysis and
insight regarding core banking
technology strategies for U.S. banks,
and will answer the key questions: when
is a core system replacement
appropriate, and when should a bank
defer change?
Participants will gain an understanding
of the categories of available
solutions, vendor market share, the
strengths and weaknesses of different
service providers, and how changes in
the market may influence the options
available to banks in the future. The
claims of vendors and industry analysts
regarding the benefits of change will
also be explored.
The potential business case for
transforming the core system will be
examined, and how reduced expenses and
increased revenue may (or may not)
contribute to this case. An idealized
target state technology architecture
will be suggested, and other technology
and sourcing practices will be
discussed.
This session is appropriate for senior
financial services executives with
responsibility for Product Development,
Operations Management, Technology
Management and Architecture, and
Financial Management.
